Slowly but surely, cannabis and the benefits of CBD have started to become normalized. Many people now know that CBD and cannabis oil can help with anxiety, chronic pain, and headaches — but CBD can also be helpful in the fight against seasonal allergies and the common cold, too. While CBD and THC both come from the hemp plant, and offer many of the same benefits, a key difference lies in the fact that CBD doesn’t cause the euphoric effects, or the “high,” that comes with THC.
Benefits
One of the biggest purported benefits of CBD when it comes to everyday life is relief, whether that’s everyday discomfort or prolonged problems like chronic pain. When the weather gets chilly and a cold strikes, it typically brings symptoms like a runny nose, a cough, and a sore throat along with it. Recent studies, like one from the National Center for Biotechnology Information, report that CBD has the anti-inflammatory properties to help ease some of the effects of these symptoms.
Additionally, for illnesses that strike elsewhere, CBD oil can be beneficial in reducing nausea as well. Furthermore, many products have been reported as highly effective sleep aids.
It’s not out of the question to go to sleep feeling lousy and wake up feeling new and improved thanks to the right CBD products.
Seasonal Allergies
While the same can be said for allergies, in that CBD can help relieve the discomfort that the changing of seasons tends to herald in, the benefits of CBD run deeper. Allergies are linked to the body’s immune system — and many properties of CBD have been shown to strengthen the body’s immune system. In other words, regularly incorporating CBD products into your daily routine can potentially help better protect you against seasonal allergies, making the effects less severe if and when the time comes.
Of course, CBD isn’t necessarily cure-all magic, but it has been known to help many people in day-to-day life. Many people these days are looking for natural ways to manage their health, and CBD oils are a great starting point.
